A proposal from Perform

One beachhead. A larger account opportunity.

Thanks for making the time. This review room centers one primary proposal: evaluate RELEASE as a focused entry point into Southeast paving and construction accounts, beginning with an approved, controlled field pilot.

The proposed motion is simple: select the right account, demonstrate the application, measure the trial, and use the result to decide whether RELEASE belongs in the Pro Chem line. A successful first use can also create a credible second conversation around adjacent maintenance products already in the Pro Chem portfolio.

CLEAN BRAKE is presented separately as a complementary workhorse brake-and-parts-cleaner SKU for recurring fleet, automotive, and industrial maintenance use. Its price tier and role alongside Pro Chem's existing premium brake cleaner can be defined in the commercial discussion.

Perform supports the opportunity with private-label development, custom blending, packaging, label/artwork support, documentation, samples, and scalable production. Together, the teams can define the pilot account, success criteria, and commercial path.

01Why this fits Pro Chem

The product opens the door.
The bundle grows the account.

The strategic brief proposes a disciplined way to test catalog expansion without treating an internal market thesis as a proven result. RELEASE leads the first conversation; field evidence determines what happens next.

01 · Beachhead Start with paving

Use RELEASE as the focused entry product for selected paving and road-construction accounts in the Southeast. Pro Chem brings a business established in 1969 and a catalog of 500+ industrial-maintenance and sanitation products.

02 · Proof Demonstrate, then measure

Run an approved field trial with named operators, safe procedures, a baseline, and agreed success criteria. The measured result—not a brochure claim—becomes the sales evidence.

03 · Expansion Return with the bundle

If the trial earns a second visit, use the account's real maintenance needs to introduce relevant products already in Pro Chem's Automotive, Fleet Centers, Industrial Specialties, Green Products, Solvents & Degreasers, and Safety Products categories.

Proposed sales motion Select a beachhead account → demonstrate RELEASE → run a controlled trial → review measured results → decide on initial adoption and account expansion.

Fit grounded in Pro Chem's official company history, product catalog, and portfolio positioning.

02Primary proposal

Release — bio-based asphalt
release agent & cleaner

RELEASE is designed to help prevent asphalt, tar, and heavy soils from bonding to equipment and to soften material that's already stuck. One product, two proposed jobs: coat surfaces before loading to support cleaner release, or apply concentrated to help loosen bonded buildup before pressure washing.

Product facts — SDS #2358502
Active chemistryMethyl ester, soybean oil, 95–100% (CAS 67784-80-9)
Signal wordWARNING — skin and eye irritation
Flash point>266°F (>130°C) — not classified flammable
VOC content64 g/L — VOC compliant, HAPs free
DilutionFull concentrate as a cleaner · up to 4:1 as a release agent
DOTNot regulated for transport
OdorLight vegetable oil
The value proposition This is a per-load release agent, not a permanent coating. The proposed value story is easier cleanout and a different safety and environmental profile; labor, cost, and regulatory claims require field and technical confirmation.

Where it works

Truck & dump bedsPrimary application — coat before loading to help keep hot mix from bonding.
Pavers & hoppersKeeps hot mix from sticking to contact surfaces.
Hand toolsShovels, rakes, lutes — prevents buildup during use.
Distributor barsStandard application across asphalt distribution equipment.
WorkwearCleans tar and asphalt soiling from clothing and gear.
Chutes, kettles & moreCones, tar kettles, grader blades, hot patch trucks, general equipment.

A safety profile worth comparing

Warning Release
soy methyl ester
  • Skin and eye irritation — standard gloves and goggles
  • Not classified flammable — flash point >266°F
  • Biodegradable, low-VOC, HAPs free
  • Not DOT-regulated for transport
Danger Diesel / kerosene
petroleum release agents
  • Flammability and hot-surface controls may apply
  • VOC profile varies by product and formulation
  • Runoff, spill, storage, and disposal procedures must be reviewed
  • Account-specific environmental requirements should be confirmed

The supplied RELEASE SDS supports the product facts shown above. Comparative performance, cost savings, disposal impacts, and regulatory advantages should be validated through approved technical review and a controlled field trial before use in customer-facing sales materials.

Application — two modes, one sprayer

As a release agent

Diluted up to 4:1
  1. Dilute up to 4:1 with water for the equipment and strength needed.
  2. Pump-up sprayer — liberal, even coating on the clean, empty bed or surface before it contacts asphalt.
  3. Reapply each load cycle for consistent release.

As a cleaner

Full concentrate
  1. Apply at full strength over the soiled equipment or surface.
  2. Allow several minutes of dwell to dissolve bonded soils — longer for older buildup.
  3. Remove with high-pressure water; document whether the softened material reduces scraping during the trial.

The proposed application uses familiar pump-up sprayer equipment. Confirm crew procedure, substrate compatibility, dwell time, dilution, and site requirements during the trial.

Proposed formats from trial through scale

5-gal pailSingle trucks, small crews, trial accounts
55-gal drumStandard fleet accounts, regular reorder
ToteHigh-volume paving contractors and asphalt plants
Tanker (bulk)High-volume format — availability and pricing to confirm
02AField comparison

A real operating environment.
A bounded proof conversation.

The supplied field image shows an older paver after extended buildup, with the cleaned area on the left and buildup-covered area on the right. It makes the proposed conversation tangible without turning one field comparison into a universal performance claim.

What the pilot should measure

Use the image as a starting point for a controlled account conversation: current cleanout method, usage, dwell time, labor, substrate compatibility, and the crew's view of the result.

Illustrative field evidence only. This comparison does not establish quantified savings, universal results, laboratory validation, or customer identity.

03Complementary portfolio extension

Clean Brake — non-chlorinated
brake & parts cleaner

CLEAN BRAKE is proposed as a workhorse brake-and-parts-cleaner SKU for recurring automotive, fleet, and industrial maintenance use. Its intended price tier and role alongside Pro Chem's existing premium brake cleaner can be defined in the commercial discussion.

CLEAN BRAKE brake and parts cleaner GHS label, Pro Chem branded
GHS label concept · Pro Chem branded
Current label facts — product #23586
FormulaNon-chlorinated, low odor, professional strength
Solvent systemFast-evaporating — hexane, isopropyl alcohol, methanol, heptane

FinishHelps leave metal components clean and residue-free
DirectionsSpray on, let evaporate or wipe with a dry cloth; repeat for heavy buildup. Well-ventilated areas only.
Straight talk on the label CLEAN BRAKE carries a DANGER signal word. The supplied package includes a Pro Chem-branded GHS label; the pilot conversation should include the complete document set and an agreed commercial position.
Automotive shopsBrake service, parts prep, general degreasing at the bench.
Fleet maintenanceHigh-frequency brake and parts cleaning across the fleet.
Industrial maintenanceGrease, oil, and contaminant removal on metal components.
04Sales enablement

A rep-ready selling system,
not just another SKU.

The RELEASE package brings the field story, application guidance, safety data, product information, label concept, and quick reference together in one rep-ready system. CLEAN BRAKE is shown as a complementary opportunity with a focused document path.

Proposed field sales motion
1 · Select

Choose a paving or fleet account with a clear use case, an authorized decision-maker, and a team willing to document the current method before the demonstration.

2 · Demonstrate

Show the approved application in the real work environment, following the reconciled technical documents, site rules, PPE requirements, and account permissions.

3 · Trial

Run a controlled trial with agreed success criteria, usage and labor baselines, safe procedures, named owners, and a scheduled result-review date.

4 · Expand

If RELEASE earns adoption, return with the adjacent Pro Chem products that fit the account's verified maintenance needs. The trial result opens the next conversation; it does not guarantee the bundle.
